MUDD’s taking us down a trip down the psychedelic retro feels of the 60’s and bringing us back to the future with their feel good alt-rock single Time Goes By (Nothing’s Changed). It’s one that makes us contemplate about our very own existence, how the days go by, seemingly the same but at the same wavelength ever evolving. Although we know one day things may end, somehow we have comfort in knowing that it is alright, and to enjoy the moments as they are.

Taking inspiration from a multitude of genres and artists such as Tame Impala, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, GUM, Pond, and more, MUDD’s sound is a groovy, psychedelic take on modern indie rock, mixing many different elements to craft a unique sound.

“Time Goes By (Nothing’s Changed) is a song that encapsulates all the bittersweet feelings of growing up and becoming independent; growing pains. It represents growth into oneself, discovering one’s deep passions and desires, and fulfilling one’s higher purpose, even if it means having to separate yourself and move on from the fondness of your past. The chorus sings, “I was born to die,” which nods at the brevity of life and the desire to fill one’s time with as many valuable experiences as possible.” – MUDD

MUDD is a four-piece alternative rock band from Columbus, Ohio, band members consisting of Vince Thompson (lead vocalist and guitarist), Collin Maria (guitarist), Steve Greer driving the bass/backing vocals, and Nick Grover powering the drums. The group met at The Ohio State University in May 2022, and began playing shows in July of that year. Since its formation, MUDD has formed a cult following locally thanks to their tight musicality, high energy performances, and on-stage chemistry.

Some of their most notable gigs include an opening slot at The Basement for Hotel Mira, Rock Columbus – a local showcase presented by Promowest, and the Ascend Showcase at A&R Music Bar.
